Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Growing up she was influenced by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the classic romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Her mother teaches her how to sing. However, she started intensive training in vocals through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. While a young student and professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. Following her move into America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She's a frequent solo performer for private events and parties singing the traditional Latin American Music. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her active in a variety of projects. Ana was also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
