Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actress and television presenter. Her most well-known work is the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16she already landed several television roles, which included the leading role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. The film won an Oscar and received critical and commercial popularity. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas.
